Project Dead Channel LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the MatchStop: Exposure Comparison mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our App. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

 

Our Commitment:: We will never collect, track, or transmit your personal data, except as described in the Age Assurance section below regarding on-device age-range signals. This is a core principle of our apps, not a temporary state. Any future change to this commitment would require a formal update to this Privacy Policy.

 

1. Information We Collect

 

MatchStop: Exposure Comparison is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information.

 

Camera Settings: The App allows you to enter and store camera settings such as FPS, ISO, Shutter, T-stop, ND, and POLA values. These values are processed entirely on your device and are never transmitted to us or any third party.

 

Locally Stored Data: Any settings or preferences you configure within the App are stored locally on your device only and are not accessible to us or transmitted anywhere.

 

2. Information We Do Not Collect

 

We want to be clear about what we do not collect: personal identification information (such as name, email address, or phone number); location data; photos, videos, or camera access; contacts or address book information; usage analytics or behavioral data; device identifiers for tracking purposes; and any data transmitted to external servers.

 

The age-range signal described in Section 3 ("Age Assurance and Age-Range Signals") is received from the platform operator and processed on your device only; it is not collected, stored, or transmitted by us.

 

3. Age Assurance and Age-Range Signals

 

To comply with applicable age-assurance laws — including the Texas App Store Accountability Act (SB 2420) and similar state laws — the App may request an age-range category for your account from the platform operator (Apple or Google) through their age-signal services: Apple's Declared Age Range API and the Google Play Age Signals API.

 

What this means for your privacy:

 

- The App receives only a broad age-range category (for example, "under 13," "13–15," "16–17," or "18 or older") as determined by Apple or Google. The App never receives your date of birth, government-issued ID, payment information, or any other personally identifying information.

- Age determination is performed entirely by the platform operator at the account level. We do not perform age verification ourselves and do not collect any information used to determine your age.

- The age-range signal is processed and stored on your device only, so that you are not asked to confirm your age range each time you use the App. It is never transmitted to Project Dead Channel LLC or to any third party.

- We use the age-range signal solely for legal compliance and any age-based restrictions required by law. We do not use it for advertising, analytics, profiling, or any other purpose.

 

The platform operator's handling of your age information is governed by Apple's or Google's own privacy policies, not this one.

 

4. Third-Party Services

 

MatchStop: Exposure Comparison does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or external APIs, other than the platform age-signal services described in Section 3, which run on your device and return only an age-range category. The App does not transmit any data to external servers.

 

5. Data Storage and Security

 

Since we do not collect or transmit any data, there is no risk of your information being compromised through our services. The camera settings you save are stored locally on your device using your operating system's standard storage mechanisms and are protected by your device's security features.

 

6. Data Retention

 

All data created in the App remains on your device until you delete it within the App or uninstall the App. Because no data is transmitted to or stored by us, we do not retain any user data on our servers.

 

7. Children's Privacy

 

MatchStop: Exposure Comparison is suitable for users of all ages. Because we do not collect any personal information from any users, we comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations worldwide. Parents and guardians can allow their children to use the App without concern about data collection.

 

Where required by law (such as the Texas App Store Accountability Act), the platform operator may require parental consent before a minor downloads or uses the App. Any such consent is managed by Apple or Google, not by us.

 

8. Your Rights

 

Because we do not collect personal data, traditional data subject rights — such as the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal information — under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), and similar privacy laws are not applicable to any information held by us, because we hold no such information.

 

You may delete locally stored data at any time within the App or by uninstalling the App from your device. If you have any questions about your privacy rights, you may contact us using the information below.

 

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

 

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy, and the updated policy will be made available within the App. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after any modifications indicates your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
